The [[Varrock General Store]] is one of the most popular stores in the game. Located in the centre of [[Varrock]], it is a [[general store]] that is fairly typical of other such similar stores found in the game.

This store used to be a major player trading centre, acting as a sort of [[wikipedia:flea market|flea market]] for players looking for bargains and other players simply wanting to unload surplus goods that they may have on hand. Due to its central location of a busy player centre for both [[F2P]] and [[member]] worlds, its proximity to two banks, and its general reputation as a centre of commerce, it served as a major point of player to player commerce for many years. Frequently players would also advertise requests for player to player trades to either buy or sell items without even using the store, but merely being there because of the large numbers of people that would often be there looking for bargains.
